Gary Crist is resident in Hong Kong and he joined Ageas in January 2002, responsible for the strategic development of the company’s insurance activities in the region. In August 2011, Mr Crist is appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Asia. Gary Crist has been in a variety of professional and managerial positions in the Asian insurance business since 1981. Prior to joining Ageas, he held a series of senior management positions in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

In addition to being a member of the Management Committee of Ageas, Gary Crist is appointed as a Non-Executive Director for Ageas Asia Services Limited, Taiping Life Insurance Co. Ltd, Muang Thai Group Holdings Company Limited, MB Ageas Life Insurance Company Limited and Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad, which are all operating or holding companies associated with Ageas in Asia.

Gary Crist holds a Master Degree from the American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, Arizona U.S.A. and a Bachelor Degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, U.S.A.
