Objectives:

  • Reporting directly to the Chief Distribution Officer, who oversees the bancassurance, agency and alternative distribution channels

  • The role will work daily with the Chief Bancassurance Officer (CBO), their direct reports, and a variety of EastWest Bank (EWB) staff to support the necessary changes outlined below

  • Some of the strategic initiatives will be this role’s responsibility to manage and achieve results

  • The role should bring their European experiences to assist the CDO in expanding current EWA & bancassurance teams skill sets and capabilities. This can be achieved through a variety of ways such as knowledge sharing, process improvement plans, identifying new product ideas and sharing ideas for system enhancements, leads management, etc.

Your key deliverables:

Operational

  • Participation and leadership in the weekly work stream leaders' meetings and the monthly project steering committee meetings

  • Help identify and redevelop (if required) processes and procedures for:

    • Daily sales activity management

    • Existing customer management process

    • Compensation review for overall sales roles

    • Discuss options new bank revenue model

  • Review and validate bancassurance overall status

    • Establishment of regular and permanent performance review

    • Validation process of store targets versus specific store business plans

Support Implementation Activities

  • Improve in-store branding and marketing

    • Targeted marketing efforts

    • Seasonal campaign management

    • Tactical single premium product - CEO president initiative

    • Overall product review and possible restructuring efforts

      • Test agency product

      • Tactical SP product

      • Launch 1 new product and 2 new funds

        • Identification of product specs

        • Marketing efforts, product onboarding to system, etc.

    • Support the training team

      • Training team integration plan from HR to CBO

      • Banca training program assessment

Strategic

  • Support the bancassurance acceleration plans development

    • Milestones per activity budget requirements divided into quarters

    • Performance target and cost-benefit analysis

  • Assist in change management activities throughout the bancassurance model

    • Launch new Priority Bank (PB) Model and review performance and opportunities for additional changes required to meet business objectives

    • Support the staff segmentation process for allocating the highest performing TAs to high potential stores

    • Lead management process - Identify weaknesses in existing system and seek new ways to deliver warm lead automated process generated through the bank through the steps of monitoring and measuring the success rates

Support Staff Assessment Process

  • Understand current staff performance and determine the suitability of each role

  • Create specific metric measurements to assess staff performance in each role

Your profile

  • University graduate

  • At least 10 years of sales effectiveness related experience, preferably in insurance industry

  • Analytically driven and exposure to various tools and technologies

  • Exceptional project management and presentation skills

  • Strong financial acumen, understanding P&L and cost drivers

  • Familiar with, and has used CRM tools for salesforce dashboards, reports, metrics and analytics

  • Solid experience in dealing with various stakeholders and handling multiple projects at any given time
