On December 20, Peter De Keyser, Chief Economist at BNP Paribas Fortis, gave a very interesting presentation, entitled "Is the crisis behind us? "

Peter De Keyser presented an analysis of recent global financial and economic developments, while focusing on Europe, and specifically on Belgium. He delivered his vision for 2014.

 

Peter De Keyzer

Peter De Keyzer is Chief Economist at BNP Paribas Fortis. He is also a visiting professor at Antwerp Business School, University of Antwerp and Rotterdam Erasmus University. Peter De Keyzer is also a guest speaker and speaker highly appreciated by financial and investment forums, business organisations and student associations.

Peter De Keyzer took the courses of what is now the University of Antwerp, obtaining in 1998 a master's degree in economics with great distinction. His dissertation was devoted to the question "Is there an optimal degree of independence of central banks?". Peter De Keyzer spent two years in the university ladder as an assistant while completing his doctorate in applied economics. He then joined the KBC Asset Management Economic Research Department and held various positions at KBC Asset Management, ABN AMRO Private Banking Belgium and Petercam before being appointed Chief Economist of BNP Paribas Fortis on 1 April 2011.

Peter is the author of a monthly column in Trends magazine on economic and financial topics. He is also an editorial writer for several titles in the financial press.
