Your function

In your role as a Financial Controller (FC), you are part of Consolidation & Financial Reporting& Control team consisting of FC's and Financial reporting analysts. You are responsible for one or several operating companies (OpCos). Your responsibilities include mainly:

  • Supporting and coordinating the periodical actual IFRS reporting cycles (Quarterly/Annual) for your OpCos, ensure the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the reporting;

  • You are the linking pin between OpCos and Group financial reporting team. To do so, you must have thorough understanding of your OpCos underlying business models and strong accounting and IFRS knowledge, so you can translate the business underlyings into financial reporting data.

  • Assisting external reporting such as consolidated Interim Financial Report and Annual report of Ageas group;

  • Participating in group projects;

  • Proposing and implementing improvements to process and internal controls;

  • Keeping up to date with IFRS developments.

Your profile

  • You have an academic degree in Accounting/Finance;

  • You have more than 5 years of professional experiences in Accounting & Reporting in a financial institution or in one of the big 4 audit firms;

  • You have good knowledge of IFRS(IFRS 17/9is a plus);

  • You are analytical, have good problem-solving skills, eager to learn, you are determined and like to be challenged by complex technical topics;

  • You have excellent communication skills;

  • You are a team player, but you are also able to work autonomously; 

  • You are fluent in English and Dutch or French.
